Kids Voting Minneapolis relies on several hundred volunteers every election year to assist K-12th grade students successfully cast their Kids Voting ballots at 130 polling places throughout Minneapolis. Volunteers, age 16 and older, plan and prepare for Kids Voting Election Day, fundraise, adopt precincts by recruiting six volunteers to work an Election Day shift at a polling place, serve as ward chairs, work a shift assisting students at a polling place, train volunteers, and pack supplies. Student volunteers find this is a valuable community service opportunity.
