Volunteer Information

Volunteers are the life-blood of Kids Voting Minneapolis. With 131 precinct polling places, Kids Voting Minneapolis needs nearly 800 volunteers to assist students in casting their ballots.

Our goal is to staff each polling place with two volunteers per shift. (Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.)

There are three volunteer shifts on Election Day:

Our community needs you. Our kids need you. Elect to get involved!

Volunteer Training 2008

All volunteers are encouraged to attend a one-hour training session. Volunteer training will take place throughout the month of October. Once the times, dates and locations of volunteer training sessions are established, they will be posted on our website.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Kids Voting Minneapolis. Unfortunately, Kids Voting will not be available at Minneapolis polling locations for the upcoming November 3, 2009 City Election.

Volunteer Requirements

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. Training is provided. At each of the Minneapolis precinct polling places, up to six Election Day volunteers are needed. Volunteer shifts are three hours long. Volunteers may sign up for more than one shift on Tuesday, Nov. 4th.
