Volunteer Information

Volunteers are the life-blood of Kids Voting Minneapolis. Volunteers are needed throughout the year to keep Kids Voting Minneapolis up and running. We need almost 800 volunteers on Election Day in November to adopt and staff 130 neighborhood polling places so that students can vote.

Our community needs you. Our kids need you. Elect to get involved! Choose an option below to help out.

Volunteer Training -2006-

    Training sessions are scheduled for:
  1. Thursday October 26, 4:00-5:00pm at Walker Library, 2880 Hennepin Ave.
  2. Monday October 30, 3:15-4:00pm at Henry High School, 4320 Newton Ave North
  3. Wednesday November 1, 6:30-7:30pm at Mayflower Church, 106 E. Diamond Lake Road
  4. Thursday November 2, 6:30-7:30pm at Nokomis Library, 5100 34th Avenue South
  5. Thursday November 2, 7:00-8:00pm at Northeast Middle School- Community Ed Room, 2955 Hayes Street NE---Park in big lot on 29th Ave. & use loading dock door

Training Materials

If you are unable to attend a training session, please read the Election Day Volunteer Instructions and the Training Presentation before November 7th.

Volunteer Requirements

At each of the Minneapolis polling places, Election Day volunteers are needed for three 3-hour shifts. So, six volunteers are needed for each polling place - two per shift.

All volunteers must be at least 16 or older. Training is provided.
